Solar racing

Every two years, teams from all over the world gather in Australia for the world championship race for solar powered cars. Teams from Universities and companies alike race across the Australian desert in solar powered cars of their own design. The race starts out in Darwin, in the north and runs straight south through the heartland of Australia to Adelaide, a distance of 3000 kilometers.

Mr Tim de Lange, founder of Innosys Delft BV is one of the founders of the highly successful Nuna solar car project which has managed to win the world solar challenge four times in a row, a first in the history of the race!

The Nuna solar car is a prime example of what innovative sustainable engineering can accomplish. A multi-disciplinary approach in the fields of aerodynamics, light-weight structures and high-tech electronics have resulted in the fastest solar car in the world! The valuable experience from the Nuna project is used in the projects of Innosys Delft BV. For four the Nuna's, Innosys Delft BV played a vital role. From building the drive train of the first three to consulting on the following Nuna 4.
