Electric Scooter

Like the Innocar, Li-Ion battery technology has made an electric scooter a viable transport solution. Innosys Delft BV envisions to take the battery technology from the small-scale applications such as cell-phones and laptops  into larger scale applications.

Together with Essent, Innosys Delft BV is organizing an electric scooter road trip to Copenhagen, the location of the upcoming United Nations summit. This drive is part of "The road to Copenhagen", a unique initiative which wants to bring in a strong democratic perspective, as well as social and sustainable development dimensions into the climate change debate. This unique forum gathers progressive and constructive ideas, develops specific policy inputs and feeds them directly to the UNFCCC and the lead negotiators at strategic points during the formal negotiating process. These points include the UNFCCC working meetings in 2008 & 2009 and the COP14 and COP 15 meetings.

The reasons for Innosys Delft BV to be involved are clear, not only do we want to promote a cleaner future on a daily basis, we want to move our suppliers to a pro-active policy. Furthermore, the drive to Copenhagen is a unique opportunity to show the durability of electric drive and its resistance to cold and other adverse weather conditions. With our involvement, we hope to help Essent to reach the goal of 100 electric scooters on the road to Copenhagen.
