The number one utility company Essent, together with Enexis, has taken a visionary step in sustainable transportation. A total of 50 electric powered Volkswagen Golfs are to be commisioned as corporate vehicles.

Essent is commited to deliver a complete chain of technology from electric vehicles to charge points delivering clean renewable enery.

2009 and 2010 will see a number of pilot projects aimed at bringing together communities, end users, corporations and government who share the same sustainable transport ambition. These first 50 Golfs will demonstrate the impressive capabilities of electric powered vehilles and function as a first step to a clean and sustainable infrastructure.
