During the day of sustainability on september 9th 2009, two dutch ministers announced they have ordered a total of 415 electric cars to be used as government vehicles. Minister Eurlings of the Ministry of Transportation has orderd 400 electric cars, the remaining 15 have been ordered by minister Cramer of the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and Environment. The first cars are set to be delivered next year. source

Innosys Delft BV has begun production of 45 electric powered Volkswagen Golfs for Essent. These electric vehicles will be an important step towards sustainable corporate transport. Essent has taken the first important step and is commited to further develop this important technology.

Innosys Delft BV, together with Essent, has started the production of 5 electric powered Volkswagen Golf prototypes. These prototypes will be put through their paces and make way for the production of a larger amount of electric cars to be used by Essent.

June 2008, E-day!
June 13th 2008 marked a significant milestone in the history of the company. On the TT race circuit in Assen Innosys Delft BV, together with a consortium of companies, announced an extensive collaboration to further the introduction of electric powered cars. In a spectacular presentation that saw an electric lotus outpace a conventional petrol lotus, the consortium outlined the facts that are involved in switching to electric drive. From environmental and cost considerations to infrastructure and technical details on charging and power delivery, the presentation laid down the vision of electric transport in detail. |
